Now, the last question to answer is; do you buy a new model or a used one? Trailer Features
Often when comparing new and used trailers, price is a big factor in the decision making process. However, just as important are the trailer’s many features and how they contribute to your needs. New trailers often have more impressive or advanced features, with even the most basic utilities sometimes receiving a major revamping.
Maintenance Risks
All trailers, new or used, will need some kind of upkeep. That being said, you will likely have to replace parts on a used trailer sooner than you would a new one. If you’re experienced with trailers or trailer maintenance, buying and replacing parts might not be a deal breaker for you. However, if this is your first trailer we advise going with a new model.
Length of Service

Dealerships are the safest option when it comes to buying used trailers, as they often put their inventory through various inspections. They also usually have the means to fix a used trailer’s problems left from their previous owners, and will do so before placing it out on their lot.
